Story
Supporters of Glencoe Folk Museum are taking on a Historic Hike to raise fund for our Museum!
We know that many of the Museum’s visitors share our love of the outdoors, so we are hosting our first ever sponsored event. In honour of Glencoe’s historic family, we are running a guided hike along one of the escape routes taken by the MacDonalds of Glencoe during the Glencoe Massacre in 1692.
Our fundraisers will trek through the rocky, remote Hidden Valley, with some taking on the Three Sisters including the Bidean nam Bian munro!
All of the funds raised will go towards creating a fun, educational and accessible heritage experience for all of our visitors and the local community.
Over the next few years we are going to expand our community work so that we are making a real difference to local wellbeing, local employability and providing educational and skills based activities for local residents.
We would be so grateful if you could support our plans by sponsoring our hikers!
