Hope for Heroes: Restoring Dignity, One Life at a Time
The Challenge Our Veterans Face
● 37,000 veterans in Tennessee live below the poverty line
● Veterans are twice as likely as non-veterans to experience homelessness
● More than 1 in 4 post-9/11 veterans struggle with food insecurity
● On any given night, over 33,000 veterans nationwide have no place to call home
Our nation’s heroes should not come home to hunger, homelessness, and hopelessness. They fought for us. Now it’s our turn to fight for them.
Join the Mission: What is a Peer-to-Peer Campaign?
Hope for Heroes is more than a fundraiser — it’s a rallying cry.
Step 1: Start a fundraising team.
Step 2: Recruit your friends, family, coworkers, or fellow veterans.
Step 3: Compete to raise the most money, build the largest team, and show the most spirit.
It’s friendly rivalry with serious impact — think Army vs. Navy, Rangers vs. Seals, Red vs. Blue. Who will lead the charge?
Prizes & Bragging Rights
Compete for glory, recognition, and real prizes:
● Most Money Raised
● Largest Team Size
● Most Creative Team Spirit
The bigger prize? Knowing that your team’s effort put food on the table, a roof over a head, and hope back in the heart of a veteran.
The Grand Finale
The campaign culminates on Veteran’s Day — November 11, 2025 with a community cookout celebration at the Catholic Charities campus, 1325 Jefferson Ave.
All teams. All veterans. All neighbors. Together, we’ll celebrate those who served our country — and those who stepped up to serve them.
Why Your Support Matters
Every dollar you raise is an investment in men and women who once put everything on the line for us. Your gift becomes more than charity—it becomes a lifeline, a vote of confidence, a way of saying, “We see you. We’ve got you.”
This campaign fuels:
● Emergency food distributions…so no veteran goes to bed hungry tonight.
● Housing support…so a move in kit, a safe bed and a fresh start replace the backseat of a car, or life on the street.
Give boldly. Your generosity restores dignity, steadies families, and reminds our heroes they are never alone.
Join the Fight. Lead a Team. Change a Life.
It doesn’t take much to change a life. It takes hope — and it takes heroes like you.
