Organised by SwimTaykaAs a volunteer, you will deliver the SwimTayka Method youth education program in Drowning Prevention and Water Stewardship. The programme is a hands-on, youth education module for children ages 4-14, to teach basic swimming skills & water safety.

Its purpose is to provide free swimming lessons to children aged 4+, and recently adults. This coastal community had no access to a public pool or swimming lessons until recently, and this has led to multiple incidents of drowning.
The purpose of Likkle Swimmers is to provide access to this new local swimming pool for children, where they will be taught from a programme designed specifically for their stage of swimming. The children will not only learn a skill that will save lives, but in doing so will also improve their self-confidence and independence, thereby benefiting the wider community. We want to take away the fear of water, and create fun!
It was a wonderful experience this summer for the children. Little Swimmers is one of the best things that ever happen to Treasure Beach. I would like to thank you for your time and effort. The love and hard work put forward by the team was truly amazing. I will definitely recommend little swimmers to every parent. Its the best decision I ever made when I send my six-year-old son to the program this summer. Now hes swimming and has such confidence. Words cant explain how thankful I am to Likkle Swimmers and all the person who sponsored it. Im truly thankful. I truly appreciate your efforts in making this program a success. Not only does the success of our programmes bring a heart-warming moment of fulfilment to the SwimTayka team, our partners have said the time we spend running our projects with them is often the most memorable moment of the year.
Being rewarded with the smiles and laughs of the young children as they learn to live safely alongside the water, paired with the knowledge that our work will save lives, is all the motivation we need to continue to work towards our future goals in the coming years. We have been able to reach out to over 8,000 children and hope to continue to help many more.
