Story

In 2014 a group of friends rode from London to near Mons in Belgium to mark the centenary of the First Shots Fired in WWI. In November of this year they'll be marking the centenary of the Last Shots Fired in WW1. The last commonwealth soldier to die was shot by a German sniper at 10:58 on the 11th/11th - we will mark that moment and then cycle home. As well as this being an act of remembrance, we're hoping once again to raise some money for the Royal British Legion who do such fantastic work.

About the charity

The Lloyd's and City of London Branch Royal British Legion raises funds to help those in need, who are currently serving or have served in the British Armed Forces. Each year we coordinate London Poppy Day. We are the custodians of remembrance in the Lloyd's and City of London community.
