In April 2020 we kicked off our partnership with a £25,000 donation, to help Dementia UK support those who need it during those challenging times. Our goal is to raise £500,000 by 2024.
Dementia UK provides specialist dementia support for families through their Admiral Nurse service.
When things get challenging or difficult for people with dementia and their families, Admiral Nurses work alongside them. They give the compassionate one-to-one support, guidance and practical solutions people need, and that can be hard to find elsewhere.
Admiral Nurses are continually trained, developed and supported by Dementia UK. Families that have their support have someone truly expert and caring by their side helping them to live more positively with dementia in the present, and to face the challenges of tomorrow with more confidence and less fear.
By 2021 its estimated there will be over 1 million people living with dementia in the UK. Together with Dementia UK were helping families face the challenges of tomorrow with confidence.
Dementia can be a frightening and lonely place. But our partners at Dementia UK are there for the whole family. When things get challenging or difficult, their Admiral Nurses will work with them, understanding their unique situation and providing strategies to help them cope.
Were here to help them go the extra mile, by making specialist, family-centred dementia care more accessible. Because we believe that everyone who needs the support of a specialist dementia nurse should get one.
