Story
Forget-Me-Not Club provide dementia support within Aberdeenshire to people living with not only a dementia diagnosis, but also their carers. From our Resource Centre in Banchory, we provide respite-day care, enabling members a sense of independence, whilst enabling carers to have a break, knowing that their loved one is being well looking after by our experienced and dedicated team.
Founded in 1999, FMNC has gone from strength to strength and is now well established in Banchory, Upper Deeside and also offers services to others across Aberdeen City and Shire. As we continue to provide our respite day-care, outreach, pop-up and virtual sessions, we also look to expand our service by offering accessibility to more people in the area who would benefit from our help.
With over 7000 people living with a dementia diagnosis within NHS Grampian and many yet awaiting a diagnosis, it is important that FMNC can offer a little help to individuals and families when required.
FMNC do not charge for our services, relying heavily on donations, fundraising events and grants. With many of our events having been cancelled throughout, and as a result of the pandemic, we really need your support.
Thank you to all who sign up for the challenge: It's YOUR challenge so YOU decide!
