Around 2 women each day are diagnosed with cancer in and around pregnancy. Mummy's Star is here to provide emotional, practical and financial support to every woman from the moment they are diagnosed through pregnancy, birth, loss and beyond.

We urgently need to increase the provision of personalised, emotional support for the women who are now contacting us and also having to deal with additional challenges of disruption to the NHS after COVID and the cost of living crisis.

Since COVID, the Support Team are seeing around double the number of individual communications with mums compared to before COVID. These contacts are either by phone, video call, text, on the forum or through social media messaging, whichever mum prefers.

In order to provide sufficient support for existing mums and all newly diagnosed mums, we desperately need to raise £106,142 to expand our emotional support work with families.

Your gift will enable us to support women who are diagnosed with cancer in and around pregnancy to access personalised emotional support when they need it, to enable them to discuss their fears and concerns, so the feel less isolated and can better manage the emotional challenges that cancer in and around pregnancy brings.
