Street Children

There are over 500,000 street children in Dhaka, Bangladesh. These young souls live in constant fear of abuse, trafficking, and sexual exploitation.

They fend for themselves without any family or support from the outside world. Often abandoned by their parents due to poverty or trafficked into an unspeakable world where no child should ever be.

Muslim Charity's Street Children project, based in Dhaka, Bangladesh is a life line for these beautiful children. Our outreach workers are out everyday working to rescue these vulnerable children.

Our school Under the Sky is an informal school based where street children congregate. The school teaches street children basic literacy and numeracy but its primary focus is to track and rescue children.

Rescued children are brought to our transitional shelter where they are given the love, care and support. Where possible if we can locate their parents we will reunite them or place them into a permanent home.

Their childhood may have been lost but together we can provide them an opportunity to build a future with unimaginable possibilities.
