Help raise £1.5million to support young patients and their families at Nottingham Children’s Hospital
No-one wants their baby or child to be in hospital. Each day, doctors and nurses are working around the clock to diagnose and treat some of our smallest patients.
Hospital can seem like a scary place, away from their family, school and normal life.
Every week, over 1,000 critically ill children are seen at Nottingham Children's Hospital. By supporting the Big Appeal, you can help support those children - whether they are a few days old or in their teenage years.
Your support will help make huge changes to Nottingham Children's Hospital and help our very youngest patients whilst they are being cared for by our amazing doctors and nurses.
Neco was born 17 weeks premature and was rushed straight to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and remained their for the first 21 weeks of his life. His parents Erin and Ben stayed nearby in parent accommodation.
By supporting The Big Appeal, you'll be helping to provide homely additions for the overnight parent rooms as well as the family lounge and parent quiet room. We'll also be helping to fund specialist and dedicated monitoring and diagnostic equipment to be used in the Neonatal Unit.
Arthur regularly visits Children's Outpatients for appointments and check-ups. Whilst waiting for his appointments, he spends time in the waiting room and plays with toys not suitable for his age.
Your support will help us provide new play and sensory rooms for children with additional needs as well as age-appropriate play facilities including game consoles, arts and crafts materials, books and other toys. You'll also be helping to provide a new clinical room to help with the high demands of the departments.
Odette was treated for a brain tumour and spent a lot of time on the hospital ward. We need your help to provide more play specialists to support patients like Odette and take their mind of their treatment.
You'll also help to provide improvements to the Youth Room, for the Youth Service and play areas both inside and out allowing children to spend time away from their hospital beds and clinical areas.
Through your fundraising, we'll be able to help children from across Nottingham and beyond get the very best treatment and care 24/7.
