NOMAN is an Island: Race to End HPV

NOMAN raises awareness of the HPV-related cancer epidemic in men and women, and campaigns for gender-neutral HPV vaccination. HPV is the causal agent of 5% of cancer, and we can prevent these simply by vaccinating both boys and girls against HPV.

Our focus is to: Provide support for survivors, caregivers, scientists and providers connected to anal cancer. Accelerate a cure for anal cancer, and the 5% of all cancers that are caused by HPV. Advocate for prevention methods that will end anal cancer such as HPV vaccination.

Story

NOMAN is an Island: Race to End HPV is an organisation started by three siblings after losing their mother to cancer caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). Inspired by their mother’s courage, they resolved to eradicate HPV and prevent HPV cancers from ending other people’s lives prematurely.

NOMAN’s global work encompasses advocacy and education, coalition building, and generating evidence-based calls to action to educate and ultimately convince policymakers that HPV elimination is possible, but only via routine universal (gender-neutral) HPV immunisation.

HPV is the causal agent of 5% of cancer, yet the vast majority of people remain unaware of the link between the two outside of cervical cancer. We can prevent HPV cancers simply by vaccinating both boys and girls against HPV.
