Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

One network supporting another.

We’re proud to be partnering with MND Association, helping to raise awareness of the disease and vital funds for the charity.

The partnership came about following colleague feedback with multiple colleagues sharing their passion for the charity, as well as wanting to recognise the late Rob Burrow CBE and the brilliant work he did, raising awareness and inspiring so many other to support MND Association.

In the UK, six people are diagnosed every day with Motor Neurone Disease – a fatal, rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord.

It attacks the network of nerves that control movement so muscles no longer work and can leave people locked in a failing body.

While it cannot be stopped or reversed, therapies, equipment and medication can help to manage symptoms.

That’s why we’re asking colleagues across our own Northern network to work together, to raise as much money as possible for the charity.

We’ll be kickstarting our fundraising activity with our ‘7 weeks of summer’ campaign, starting in July.
