Denyigba Lorlor NGO is planting trees throughout the Volta Region of Ghana. Three staff are employed to nurse the trees from seed to sapling. Each tree costs around £7.00 to grow. The saplings are then gifted to community members to plant and tend.

This is the breakdown of how the money is spent in Ghana cedi: seed (2 cedi); bag for nursery (0.5 cedi); transportation from the market to the seed nursery, and then for replanting (5 cedi); fence for protecting the seed nursery (15 cedi); rope (3 cedi); manure (5 cedi); organic pest control medicine (10 cedi); wages and maintenance (10 cedi). The total is 50.5 Ghana cedi, or around £7.00.
