The UKs poorest schoolchildren need your help
COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on the most disadvantaged pupils. As a result of school closures, its estimated that ten years of progress towards closing the learning gap between poorer and richer children has been lost.
Were determined to reverse this. But we need your help.
Teach First's annual event, Run the River, usually sees 3,000 people run around the River Thames to raise vital funds for our work supporting the UKs most disadvantaged schoolchildren. But, this year, when our work is more crucial than ever, the Thames is out of reach for many and the mass gathering cant go ahead as normal.
Instead, we need our biggest ever number of runners to get behind the UKs poorest pupils by taking on their own version of the run.
Individually, you can run 5k or 10k anywhere in the world during the same week that our 2020 event was due to take place (7-13 September).
Collectively, youll help us give the poorest pupils the best possible start back at school once they fully re-open.
