Join us in the STAMINA 2 SKI campaign, starting on December 1st, to build strength and raise funds for Visually Impaired Veterans. Our goal is to provide them with a one-of-a-kind guided ski trip to The Dolomites in Italy in January 2024.
Participate in this movement by completing 100 squats per day for the entire month of December. Encourage your friends, family, and colleagues to join in and contribute. For example, if 100 friends each contribute £10, we can fund a visually impaired veteran's week-long experience on the slopes.
Our Visually Impaired Veterans are taking up this challenge to raise necessary funds. It's up to everyone else to get involved, squat along, and support their efforts.
We believe in our ability to build strength and stamina through this challenge and ensure that our Visually Impaired Veterans have the opportunity to experience the joy of skiing.
For over 45 years, our Ski Club has been taking Visually Impaired Veterans skiing in various resorts. Val di Fassa in the Italian Dolomites has been our chosen destination for the last two decades. The area caters to skiers of all levels, including those who are fully sighted and visually impaired. Our Visually Impaired Veterans are registered as blind, with varying levels of vision impairment. We are proud to provide a welcoming environment for all snow sports, with one of our visually impaired members recently achieving a Snowboard Instructor Qualification.
This ski trip plays a crucial role in their rehabilitation. The Visually Impaired Veterans themselves organize and fund this trip, which helps them develop independence, budgeting skills, and confidence - ultimately improving their standard of living. Now, they need your help to join them on the slopes.
Let's prove that "Can't See Will Ski."
