Story

Step by Step Together is a fundraising challenge that invites supporters commit to walking 25 miles in 14 days, alongside a loved one or their furry friend to support brain injury recovery.

Due to the invisible nature of a brain injury, survivors often experience social isolation and feelings of loneliness during recovery. Through this challenge, our goal is to raise vital funds to help develop a mental health recovery pathway for survivors and to empower survivors and their loved ones to walk together to combat isolation by fostering connection and support.

Every step taken together will bring us closer to transforming the lives of the 1 in 3 people who will experience a brain injury in their lifetime.

SameYou’s mission is to pilot recovery innovations that bring immediate benefits to brain injury survivors and their families.

It operates with a small team and works with powerful partners globally to launch ground-breaking therapies and lead vital research into brain injury.

The work includes delivering educational tools for healthcare professionals; return to work coaching programmes; deliver-real-time group rehabilitation services; a digital library of self-help resources plus develop a mental health volunteer support programme for people recovering from brain injury, and their loved ones.
