Stop Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children

CHILDREN ARE NOT FOR SALE!
CHILDREN ARE NOT FOR SALE!
The trafficking of children to produce child sexual exploitation materials, including live-streamed abuse, is widespread in the Philippines. IJM’s Scale of Harm prevalence study estimates that nearly half a million Filipino children were victims of this crime in 2022 alone.
In addition to this, the largest telecoms in the Philippines reported that billions of child sexual abuse material had been intercepted. However, perpetrators still find a way to sexually exploit and abuse children online.
Imagine this: family members or local traffickers sexually abuse a Filipino child while a foreign pedophile, typically from Western or developed countries, watches the abuse happen in a live video call, often undetected. The paedophile will dictate the level of abuse for more money. The child can be raped multiple times a day in unthinkable ways to fulfil the perverted desires of a paedophile. This abuse of children can last a decade until the child becomes an adult. The psychological and physical trauma inflicted on the child is immeasurable and will remain a constant memory for the rest of their life. The child’s image and videos will be digitally used and shared for a lifetime, a nightmare that will never end.
Back in 2020, Football for Humanity established a nationwide Prevent Program called “Stop Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children” (OSAEC) or #StopOSAEC to combat the sex trafficking of children. This happened just before the Anti-OSAEC legislation was enacted by the Philippine Government in 2022.
We use the beautiful game of football to educate, empower and protect children from harm while proactively disrupting creative attempts by perpetrators to engage children. We work with thousands of children, parents, guardians and community leaders while spreading awareness of child sex trafficking in collaboration with the government, law enforcement and the largest telecoms in the Philippines. Unfortunately, this heinous act is rapidly spreading, with over a billion child sexual abuse images and videos intercepted in 2023. We must continue reaching as many children in the community as possible before it is too late!
It was in 2021 when the iNews (UK) featured Football for Humanity, highlighting the ‘Secret pandemic’ of child sexual abuse in the Philippines, where families exploit their own children for money.
Due to the rapid spread of child sex trafficking and the demand for our #StopOSAEC Prevent Program, we urgently need footballs. Your donation will go directly toward new balls, ensuring no child is left behind.
Join us in our mission to combat cybersex trafficking to create a safer future for our children.
