The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileEvery year, we reach out and support more than 2,500 people in Brighton & Hove who are facing domestic abuse.
People like Rosa, who escaped an abusive relationship after several years of violence. RISE provided counselling for her, helping her build a future as a strong, independent woman;
"I did not think I could have been helped as much as I have, I was never judged and felt I had a good working relationship with my counsellor and my last session I left feeling normal, can deal with issues and that I can make a future that I will be happy with. Thank you so much for giving me the tools for my happy future."
But we need to reach out to even more people. For every place in our refuge, we have at least 8 applications. We see people across both East and West Sussex every day, but resources are forever being stretched.
When RISE started, 25 years ago, it was two volunteers and a telephone in the Women's Resource Centre, Brighton. We have grown over the last 25 years to support women, children and the LGTB community across two counties.
Your support for RISE in our 25th year is incredible and we hope you can help us reach our ambitious target - £60,000 could cover the cost of three full time counsellors, fund women and families at our refuge or support children's therapy.
Team RISE 25 is our opportunity to raise money and awareness and support even more people across Brighton & Hove and beyond.
