Our mission is to make the discoveries that defeat cancer. Our vision is that people can live their lives free of cancer as a life-threatening disease. We work on all cancer types incl. children's cancers, pancreatic, brain and lung cancer. Please support our work and help us defeat cancer.

Story

This October, Wrexham is getting Wales's very first Terry Fox Run after a successful fundraising event on September 8, 2023. That event, dubbed the “Global Cancer Awareness Night”, introduced the Terry Fox story to the town. It was a sold-out charity concert by the Declan Swans, graciously hosted by the team at the Turf.

Join us this year and run, walk, or cycle a 2.5k or 5k route around beautiful Bellevue Park. Terry Fox’s brother, Fred Fox, will be among many special guests attending. As with every Terry Fox Run, it is free to enter, open to all abilities, family-friendly, and non-competitive.

By choosing to fundraise, you are supporting the work of The Institute of Cancer Research, the UK Terry Fox Association's affiliate charity. It was Terry's wish that we should all live in a world without cancer.

Together, we can make the discoveries that defeat this devastating disease.

#tryliketerry wherever you are or join us in Wrexham on the 13th October 2024 at 12pm for an unforgettable event to celebrate Canada's hero while raising money for cancer research.
