Coronavirus has had a terrible impact on Uniques fundraising this year, as it has more many people, businesses and charities. We anticipate a loss of almost £180,000 this year without the wonderful fundraising events, marathons, cake sales, skydives and much more that you do for us.

Yet the need to support families hit with new chromosome/gene disorders diagnoses remains critical. And many Unique families with adults or children with severe medical, anxiety or financial issues are suffering because of the virus, the isolation of lockdown, the lack of schools and carers. They desperately need support too. We need to continue to connect families, backup doctors and publish chromosome specific guides.

Due to the current circumstances, like many charities we have taken the difficult decision to postpone this years complete awareness week. We know many of you had been planning fun & exciting ways to raise funds and awareness for Unique and rare chromosome & gene disorders, and we hope you will still be able to do these. You can either link this campaign to your Just Giving personal fundraiser by clicking on the "Start Fundraising" orange button on the right or send the link for this campaign to your family and friends so they can directly support us.

Thank you from all of us at Unique x
