Story
Our Ride. Our Club. Our Community.
On Saturday 14 March 2026, a team of committed AFC Wimbledon fans, staff, and friends will take on a 50-mile cycle from Plough Lane to Stevenage FC’s Lamex Stadium for the 4th Velo and Blue Away Day Challenge.
Why? Because every mile we ride helps change lives across our community.
For many of us, this isn’t just a bike ride. It’s a way of giving back to a club built by its people - a club that believes in community, opportunity, and standing together.
Supporting Our Community
AFC Wimbledon Foundation works with children and young people facing daily barriers:
- Young people struggling with mental health and isolation
- Families facing financial hardship
- Girls and women searching for safe, inclusive places to play sport
- Children who simply need someone to believe in them
Through free football sessions, mentoring, youth clubs, school programmes, disability sport, and more, the Foundation creates brighter futures for hundreds of local people every week.
Your Support Matters
But none of this work happens without support. By supporting this challenge, you’re not just backing a bike ride - you’re backing a young person who needs a chance. You’re helping someone feel included, confident, supported, and part of something positive.
Every pound we raise helps keep these vital programmes running and ensures the Foundation can reach even more people who need them.
Join the Challenge
We’re proud to take on this challenge. Proud to represent the Dons. And proud to pedal every mile knowing it brings hope, opportunity, and connection to our community.
If you can, please donate. Big or small, your support truly makes a difference.
Thank you for helping us change lives - one mile at a time. 💙💛
