Story

"Team BIBS 2018" is a life-changing and life-saving group of individuals joining forces to help Babies in Buscot Support by taking on the Reading Half Marathon.

This year BIBS needs our amazing runners to raise at least £40k towards our circa £80k target to purchase two brand new incubators for the neonatal ward at Reading's Royal Berkshire Hospital (RBH).

Babies in Buscot Support (BIBS) raise funds to give sick and premature newborns at the RBH the best possible start in life.  Our charity is run by parents that have had a baby spend time on Buscot Ward. We have been there too. That is why we care so deeply, and want to make the experience for all babies admitted to Buscot Ward and their families the best it can possibly be.

We help to provide costly and life-saving medical equipment, improve family facilities such as overnight accommodation for parents and staff training for Buscot Ward. Vitally, we also fund a professional Family Support Practitioner to visit the unit three times a week and be a listening ear for families at what is one of the most emotional and difficult times of their lives.
