<p><strong>WHY ARE WE HERE?</strong></p><p>The number of people sleeping rough on our streets has increased 157% over the last 3 years.The knock on effect is increased pressure on the support network that helps rough sleepers, teams that are committed to working with individuals to provide accommodation, hot meals, medical treatment and ultimately a better future.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>SOME OF THE HEROES BEHIND THE SCENES&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Without a network of specialist street teams and dedicated charities, it is difficult for any help to make long term changes. Here are just some of the heroes behind the scenes and the work they do.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>THE STREET INTERVENTION TEAM</strong></p><p>Working day and night, Birmingham City Council's SIT attends to rough sleepers, providing health services to accommodation. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>ST BASIL'S</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>St Basil's work with young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, helping over 5000 young people every year. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>SIFA FIRESIDE</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Work with vulnerable adults experiencing homelessness or who are vulnerably housed, daily drop in services provide meals, showers and clothes. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>MIDLAND HEART</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>A leading housing organisation, delivering homes and services across the Midlands that enable people to live independently.</p><p><strong>PUT YOUR CHANGE INTO ACTION</strong></p><p>Your donation will personally benefit a person sleeping rough. Trusted local charities and street teams will help rough sleepers to identify those things that can really make a change to their personal circumstances, they will then receive and make use of those funds.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>DONATIONS</strong></p><p>All donations are processed through the Just Giving site. BVSC is responsible for administrating and allocating all funds. These funds will be designated solely for Change into Action.
