The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileRBC Ride for the Kids returns this Spring with a two day, 170-mile ride from London to Bruges, Belgium. RBC staff and clients are taking on this charity Ride in support of SportsAid, in the company of world class Olympic and Paralympic athletes and alumni including Danny Crates and Bryan Steel.
The Ride starts from the RBC Thames Court office on Friday 8 June and riders will cycle the 170-mile route, via an overnight Ferry from Harwich, to Bruges.
RBC CM and WM have been partners of SportsAid since 2014 and every year RBC support 50 up-and-coming, young British disabled and non-disabled athletes. You can find out more about the partnership by visiting http://www.sportsaid.org.uk/about/partners-and-donors/royal-bank-of-canada/. All money raised will help provide much-needed funding for the next generation of British sporting talent and will launch this year’s SportsAid #MyMiles campaign.
Transportation, equipment, training, accommodation and competition costs are where the majority of SportsAid athletes use their financial award. They also feel the impact of the award through the motivational boost recognition of their talent gives them.
The funds you raise for SportsAid will make a big difference….
£5 could help one of Britain's best young athletes to get to their next training session
£10 could help a disabled footballer buy a new pair of shinpads
£25 could help a young gymnast protect their wrists with a pair of supports
£50 could help a young kayaker replace a damaged helmet
£100 could help a young athlete go to a physio for rehabilitation from an injury
£500 could help a young boxer to travel to their next major international competition
£1,000 could provide a full year's worth of support for a SportsAid athlete
