Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie are calling on the nation to get down to the pool for Swimathon 2024 - thousands of swimmers, two great causes, one big charity challenge.

Story

The swimmers are all primary school children mainly year 6 and are testing themselves in a challenge to swim 1Km (40 lengths) EACH of Grange Paddocks pool for Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie at the Swimathon 2024

Many of them took part in a very successful Swimathon 2023 raising an amazing amount and all of them realise the effort it will take to complete the distance. .

This is a tough challenge for this group of 8-11year olds but it is for very worthy causes and we not only hope they hit a great total in fundraising but also learn the importance of making an effort to help those in need or less fortunate. .

The team is:

Charlotte Stenson, Anabella Mackay, Monty Brocks, Noémie Sibert, Niamh Yeoman, Anya Quail, Alexandra Ionescue, Millie Smith, Georgia Scadding, Lottie Burman, Susie Firrell, Jackson Bramall, Jack Johnson, Luca Tse, Harry Leeks, Kenny Millsom, Cian Millsom, Will Etherington, Penelope Runyan, Theo Towse-Reid, Eden Fullbrook, Sophia Leeks, Julien Sibert, Joe Barrat, Rory Quail, Elizabeth O’Reilly, Charlie Mackay, Ollie Witney, Grace Cosgrove, Tallulah Bedocs-Merry, Annie Crane, Albie Keetley, Rafferty Keetley, Vaishnavi (Vishu) Pawar, Anna Buckley, Alex Campbell, Erin Millsom, Ailbhe Millsom, Dilys Evans, Eira Evans, Beatrice Barrat, James Smith, William Herniman, Esmé Maxwell
