FINAL UPDATE
I finally completed the race! The time I got was 1hour 56 minutes, notthe best but ok. Lesson learned however is to always always stretchproperly and throughly before attempting 13 miles, no half heartedstretching will do! or you end up with a cramp in your left leg at mile3 like I did!! (Schoolboy error I know, I must have got caught up inthe excitement of the run!)
Or you can just look at the photos on this page and there will be a screenshot of my time!
Thankyou to all those who sponsored me and supported me. Your generosity isgreatly appreciated and even more so from my charity Macmillan CancerSupport. You helped me to exceed my target of £375 which is excellent!!However even if I have stopped running, (for now) the charity doesnt soif you havent sponsored yet and would like to do so you still can. =)
Once again thanks for your support and all the best!
UPDATES
Been training a few times with some other people now, quite a changefrom running by myself! Not that it will be like that during the actualrace, I have just discovered I will be running in wave 4 and none of myfriends happen to be in the same wave! oh well, Its just a race of meagainst the clock anyway!
Only 1 more day to go! If you havent got your sponsor in yet, nows the time to do it!
All the best!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page! =)
I have decided to take on a half marathon for Macmillan Cancer support, so on the 27th September I will be running 20K or 13.1 miles in the event Run to the Beat held at the O2!
A Bit about what Macmillan do:
We exist to help improve the lives of people living with cancer and their families and carers.
1 in 3 of us will get cancer and we are all affected. We are a source of support. We are a force for change. We are Macmillan.
We've set ourselves an impressive ambition. Our primary goal is to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer.
Cancer affects us all. We can all help. We are Macmillan.
I have gained a charity place on Macmillian Cancer Support which means I need to raise a minimum amount in order to secure my place. That amount is £375. I have just 1 day to do that now so not only will I be racing against the clock at the O2 but I am racing against time to get my sponsors in!
You can find out more about the good work Macmillan Cancer Support do by following this link

Any spare cash you have lying around would be gratefully recieved for the charity! As the old cliche says every penny counts and its true! so please sponsor me as much as you can for a good cause! You can sponsor me online which is the easiest way or you can sponsor me by cash (If you can't or dont want to use your card online) and I will donate it online for you! just let me know!
Thanks and all the best!
