$40 Helps so many at the end of their life's journey - What can you give?

Many of my friends and family know someone that has received Palliative or Hospice care. They may have had someone in hospice themselves. The care that family member received, the respite the care offered the family, & the peaceful passing surrounded by loved ones -- it is what each of us would want for our loved ones as they die.
Hospice of the Chesapeake for 40 years has been serving the Anne Arundel & Prince George's County. Over 3,000 patients a year; approx. 500 patients a day; some are even infants, have received professional & tender care. With medicare & medicaid offering less & less in reimbursable services, services like bereavement counseling, room & board for inpatient care, spiritual counsel, custodial care and more fall to the family to cover. The medical and supporting staff, the clergy, and the volunteers give so much of their love, care, and attention to each and every family. I am privileged to work with these incredible men and women, who have been called "Angels" by many of our patients' families.
Chesapeake Kids and Chesapeake Life Center are two of our programs that serve families with children in our hospice care or in our grief and bereavement services. The work they do is ...well, emotional and indescribable. And no one is ever turned away because of an inability to pay for this. They can do so from fundraisers like this.
We've all seen the fundraisers out there - but this one is so important to me. My fundraising goal is to raise $40 from as many as possible, reaching or exceeding a goal of 40 friends. So that our fundraising can continue the love, care, and attention that all people should have at the end of their life.
Please join my team or donate $40 to my cause. It is well worth it and the smile you'll have for the rest of the day will be long lasting, knowing it was put to good use.
It would be great if you feel similarly, to form your own campaign!
Please help: donate & share.
Thank you!
