Story
I am excited to participate in my 7th triathlon with the Gals for Cal team at the Max Performance Title 9 Triathlon on Sunday, September 11th in Hopkinton, MA. The Gals are a team of Duchenne moms and our incredibly supportive friends and families, dedicated to raising vital funds for Jett Foundation.
Since the team was founded, the Gals have raised over $750,000 for Jett Foundation. This year, Jett Foundation will serve 250 campers through year-round virtual programs and summer camp sessions; deliver nearly $800,000 of accessibility items and emergency assistance through the two branches of the Jett Giving Fund; and reach hundreds of families through our educational webinars and family support groups held throughout the year. All of this is made possible thanks to the generosity of supporters like you. Together, we can ensure youth and families living with Duchenne and other neuromuscular disorders have access to therapies, education, and resources to live life to the fullest.
About Duchenne muscular dystrophy: Duchenne is the most common genetic killer of children, it affects 1 in every 3,500-5,000 boys born. A relentless and progressive muscle-wasting disease, boys lose the ability to walk in early teens and typically succumb to respiratory or heart failure in early 20s. There is no cure, Duchenne is 100% fatal.
I am beyond grateful for your support. Come cheer on the Gals and Eytani crossing the finish line with me on September 11th!
