Bardet-Biedl syndrome is a rare condition affecting approximately 1 in 100,000 people. Features include visual impairment, obesity, chronic kidney issues and learning disabilities, amongst many others. The BBS community in Ireland want to take action to improve their health and wellbeing as well to raise awareness and funds for BBS UK, the only charity providing support and information to those affected by BBS in the UK and Ireland. Together we are going to walk, run, cycle, swim, ride or whatever it takes to virtually 'Carry the Gene' from John O’Groats to Lands End via Ireland. Thank you so much for your support.
