Story

💜💜💜💜💜CASH’S PURPLE DAY FUNDRAISER FOR YOUNG EPILEPSY 💜💜💜💜💜

Cash was diagnosed with panayiotopoulos syndrome, an epilepsy syndrome in 2019. Despite being only 8 and currently struggling with his epilepsy journey and medication side effects himself he has thrown himself into fundraising and spreading awareness of life for families living with epilepsy. Epilespy is more than just seizures. It’s the living with sometimes a life long condition with the constant anxiety of what if? It’s the sometimes long and painful journey of finding the right medication to gain seizure control. Some children deal with their epilepsy and seizures in a very matter-of-fact way. Others feel embarrassed about having seizures, especially if they happen at school, or with their friends.

Having epilepsy in the family affects everyone, not just the child with seizures. Some brothers and sisters of children with epilepsy need more information about what is happening to their sibling. They may feel anxious about seeing a seizure, or not really understand what is going on

In the UK, around one in every 240 children under the age of 16 will be diagnosed with epilepsy. Some of them will be babies, and some will be teenagers, with many others in between. Between 30 and 50 percent of children with epilepsy will develop a behavioral or mental health problem. The types of behavioral problems associated with epilepsy include attention deficit, hyperactivity, anxiety, depression, aggression, and autism spectrum disorder.

Purple Day💜 – the international day of epilepsy awareness - returns on Friday 26th March 2021. Please joins us in celebrating purple day and raising funds for Young epilepsy .

Purple Day is just one day, but the difference you make will last a lifetime.

By raising funds this Purple Day, you will be giving hope to a young person who is finding it difficult to cope with their epilepsy, you will be connecting families in crisis with the information they need most, and you will help thousands of children across the country to live their lives to the fullest.

Young Epilepsy is the only UK charity dedicated to creating better lives for children and young people with epilepsy and related conditions.

So please support Cash in his quest to make a difference. Having something positive to focus on during his journey really makes a huge difference and to him accepting his diagnosis.

So here goes. Wether your playing Cash’s lucky treasure map squares, buying raffle tickets or even just donating in Cash’s name we Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts.💜
