Story
Vision Care for Homeless People are a UK based charity whose focus is providing eye care to those on the very fringes of society. Many do not consider the affects of a life on the street on a person's eyesight, but the homeless, just like anyone else, can struggle with eye conditions such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism etc., but also with eye disease. In fact they are more likely to not have such things detected and, therefore, run a greater risk of sight threatening illness.
Our manager at Donners used to volunteer with VCHP in London and Rawlings, the parent company of donner Optometrists, has also supported them in the past.
