Update: after an injury set me back last year, I’m not pretty much through all of my training to run the Jersey Marathon on 2nd October this year!! Just under 5 weeks away☺️

Training is going really well - managed an 18 mile run last week and felt good doing it too. 

Thank you so much for all donations, from last year and this year! Really means so much to me and without it I probably wouldn’t be back training for this years marathon after the injury last year.

Can’t wait to become a marathon running and see my hard work pay off!!

If you know me, you would know that I have never been a natural runner. I’m famous for my lack of athleticism and avoidance of any kind of physical activity. So naturally, I’ve decided to throw myself in the deep end and run a Marathon on the beautiful island of Jersey in October 2021. (.... in little over 100 days!!)

I started running as a way to just get out of the house and kill some time over lockdown but I never imagined that I’d be able to push myself to do something completely out of my comfort zone and run a full marathon (and perhaps I still can’t!).

Earlier this year, we lost our dear friend Claudia. Jersey Hospice Care provided her with such amazing care and any funds raised will enable them to continue their incredible work.

Jersey Hospice Care is a specialist palliative care service and the island’s only hospice, providing holistic care for patients with any life limiting condition. Jersey Hospice Care is an independent charity and makes no charge to patients. It costs over £20,000 a day to run the charity’s services. Funding for their care services is thanks to the generosity of the public. Without continued support and generous donations their work wouldn’t be possible.

Your support will mean the world to me although it’ll mean that I’m actually going to have to run a marathon! Knowing all my friends and family are behind me will really spur me on. 

With the last year we’ve all had, it really makes you realise that you’ve just got to get out and do something you thought may be impossible and just make the most of every minute.
