Story
Duncan, Donna and myself (along with the rest of the Mosses Family) have decided to walk the 10k dressed as superheroes. On the 27th June Duncan and Donna's Dad Den passed away peacefully at Dorothy House in Winsley after spending the morning out in the sunshine with us around him. Until you go through losing a member of your immediate family you don't realise how important it is to have an amazing team of nurses and support staff around you. We can not put into words how amazing everyone at Dorothy House was in looking after Den and everyone who went to see him in his last few weeks. The love and kindness from these amazing women and men made a difficult situation just a little bit more bearable. They are the true superheroes!!!
If you can spare even a small amount we would be so grateful as we can't ever repay them enough for the hard work and dedication they showed to the whole Mosses family.
The Dorothy House Hospice Care Hero Walk is an exciting NEW event taking place in the stunning grounds of Bath Spa University with lakes, a castle and beautiful views.Participants can choose a 1,5 or 10km route passing through exciting hero-themed zones. You can dress up as your favourite super hero, use the walk to remember someone who is a special hero to you or walk to celebrate the heroes providing care at Dorothy House. The choice is yours! Our goal is to support more people across our 700sq mile area because we believe that everyone with a life-limiting illness should be able live to their fullest potential, and when the time comes die a peaceful, dignified and well supported death. But we can only achieve this with the help of people like you. Help us be the difference in our community, and be a real Hospice Care Hero.
