Help AGE Africa raise $115,000 for scholarships, life skills education, and career planning for academically talented girls in rural Malawi.

Story

Who are we?

We are a group of friends, colleagues, and committed athletes who
will be biking the streets of Washington, DC in support of Advancing Girl’s
Education in Africa (AGE Africa) Ride for Malawi!

Why do we do this?

There is a story behind every mile we travel. In Malawi, most girls
walk or bike about 10 kilometers each way to get to school.
The
resilience of these girls, determined to travel such long distances in the
hopes of finishing high school, is what motivates us to support AGE Africa in
helping make the goals and dreams of these young women become a reality.

AGE Africa provides life-changing opportunities for rural girls in
Malawi through targeted initiatives in education, mentoring, and leadership
development. Over 90% of AGE Africa scholars finish secondary school, compared
to 6% of rural girls nationwide. Almost half continue to college or vocational
school.

By supporting AGE Africa, you will directly help provide
scholarships, school supplies, life skills education, and career planning for
academically talented girls in rural Malawi. Girl by girl, school by school,
village by village, we will transform a nation together.

Help us meet our goal or raising US$10,000. Thank you so much for
your support! Visit AGE’s webpage for more information on their work - https://ageafrica.org/.

Cheers,

Darren, Johan, Justin,
Marcella, Mustafa, and Rodrigo.
