Land's End to John O'Groats · 27 February 2022

The Orthotics department at Royal Hospital for Children Glasgow is the only Orthotics department in Scotland specialising solely in Paediatrics. The core treatment area is Greater Glasgow.

Story

Cycling 1000 miles in 9 days is by far the greatest physical challenge I've ever signed up for. For several years I've wanted to cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats and now the time has come to see if my body and mind can do it. Raising funds for the Glasgow Children's Hospital charity (formerly Yorkhill Children's charity) to help children who really need it is a great motivator. If you can sponsor me that would be great.

So many children who have conditions or syndromes including Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Erbs Palsy, Hyper mobility, Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, Neuromuscular and Idiopathic Scoliosis, Chest Wall Deformity, and Muscular Dystrophy benefit from the tremendous work that this paediatric service delivers. But the service could benefit the lives of even more children with some new technology that will significantly reduce the time to treat a child and be better for the environment.
