Story

This September, we will be cycling from London to Brighton to raise money for Barrett's Oesophagus Cancer Campaign - a cause that is very close to our hearts.

Last year our father Tony Newark unexpectedly passed away within a month of being diagnosed with oesophageal cancer. He was told he had been living with the cancer for a few years, despite symptoms only appearing within weeks before he passed.

Oesophageal (throat) carcinoma is an aggressive form of cancer in which symptoms often appear too late. It has lower than average survival rates, so more research needs to be done!

We are fundraising for this cause by taking part in the 54 mile London to Brighton cycle challenge. In doing so, we hope to increase awareness of this terrible illness and to help our chosen charity work towards the early diagnosis and prevention of Oesophageal cancer.

We would be highly grateful if you could spare some pennies to help support us!

Many thanks,

Jessica Newark & Kimberley Bertin (Newark)
