Story
Hi everyone!
Anyone who knows me knows I am not a runner. I never have been. I was always the one walking at the back during school cross-country, just ask my sporty twin sister. I was definitely the embarrassing one! Running to me just hurts, so it's definitely not my thing!
But you know what else isn't my thing? Children struggling through life without the basics to help them feel like a normal human being, through no fault of their own.
That’s why I’m taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon for the Sailors' Children's Society. There shouldn't be any children living in poverty and it's mind blowing the statistics the charity has given me.
After seeing the vital safety net they provide to seafaring families in their darkest hours, I just wanted to help.
This is going to be the hardest thing I’ve ever done physically (seriously, I’ve never run a day in my life!). But my goal is to think of every mile as helping to provide the food, clothing and opportunities children deserve.
Please sponsor me if you can—absolutely anything helps! :)
