Every year, thousands of people phone us to help grounded or injured bats that they find. We talk every caller through how to contain the bat and meet its immediate needs. Then we pass them on to an expert who can help whether thats one of hundreds of trained volunteers around the UK, or (when a volunteer isnt available) their local vet. Bat by bat, this makes a big difference to special and vulnerable species. But our bat care work has no guaranteed source of income and is wholly dependent on peoples generosity. In these difficult financial times theres turbulence ahead for our efforts to get injured bats flying. Our bat care work depends entirely on donations!
