Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be completing my first ever triathlon, a Half Ironman consisting of a 1.9km swim, a 90km bike ride, finished off with a 21.1km run. Whilst doing so, I hope to raise some money for a charity close to my heart - the Batten Disease Family Association. They are an organisation who help fund research into the illness, and aid families of those who are unfortunate enough to have the genetic disease expressed in their children. My late cousin had the illness which eventually took her life just before her eleventh birthday many years ago. The organisation can be found here - http://www.bdfa-uk.org.uk/ - if you would like more information on it.
