Brighton Marathon 2018 · 15 April 2018 ·
I have decided this year to run 3 races to raise vital funds for Jigsaw South East. I would really appreciate it if you could help me reach my target for the year!
7th April: South Downs Way 50
A 50 mile race along the South Downs Way National Trail, beginning in Worthing and finishing in Eastbourne. This race has a total elevation of 5700ft!
15th April: Brighton Marathon 2018
Just a week later I'll be running the Brighton Marathon for the 4th consecutive year. The Brighton Marathon was my first 'big race' - I never expected I'd go on to become an ultra runner!
9th June: South Downs Way 100
This will be my longest race so far and will definitely be a challenge. There is 12700ft of elevation this time, starting in Winchester and finishing in Eastbourne. Preparation for this started in January and I'll have put it hundreds of training miles (and a few pairs of running shoes!) by the time it comes to race day.
I have chosen to support Jigsaw this year as the work they do is so important and as a small charity they rely on donations to keep providing this support.
Jigsaw (South East) offers grief support to children and young people who have experienced the death of a significant family member through illness, accident, suicide or murder. In partnership with Macmillan, it also provides support to children and young people who have a family member with a life-limiting condition.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
