Story
This Purple Day, I'm taking part in the 26 miles in 26 days Challenge to help raise awareness and life changing funds for children and young people with epilepsy. Together we can create a future where every child with epilepsy can live seizure free.
My prior knowledge of epilepsy was that it was a seemingly rare and unfortunate disorder, but in the past year, I have been made aware that epilepsy is far too common with two of the people closest to my heart having the condition.
A mile a day may not seem a lot at first glance, but many people who suffer from epilepsy cannot even be left unsupervised for the duration of a mile-long run. I am immeasurably lucky to be able to even participate in this challenge since many of the 10.5 million people who do suffer from epilepsy would find themselves unable to.
Please make a donation to my page today if you are able to. If you'd like to join me in the challenge then you can sign up here: https://www.youngepilepsy.org.uk/get-involved/challenge/26-miles-in-26-days-challenge
