Not quite sure how this has happened, but here we are, 4 middle aged blokes about to embark on an epic stroll from Petersfield to Brighton in a day.  What we lack in training, we make up for in the volume of kit we've purchased over the past weeks in a hopeful quest for assistance from anywhere - the aim is simple, get round the course in one piece and as one team!

The event itself is tough, more than 30 hours and we get picked up by the bloodwagon - we'll be happy with 24 but the more gung-ho of the team reckon we should aim at 20 - let's see how the chaffing and chat deteriorate over the miles!!

Oxfam needs little by way of introduction.  This 75+ year old aid agency is on a mission to globally eradicate poverty.  Their tentacles extend around the world. They are forever busy doing great things, saving lives and helping the dispossessed.  A thoroughly deserving charity.
