120km in 24 Hours in Memory of Michael

Richard Clayton is raising money for Kidney Care UK
In memory of Michael Price

120km in 24 Hours – Running for My Cousin · 12 September 2026

The Young Adult Kidney Group (YAKG) is a peer support group for kidney patients between 18-30. Starting in 2016 and becoming part of Kidney Care UK in 2022, the group has grown to over 800 members worldwide but remains fully patient led.

Story

On 12th September I'll be taking on the toughest challenge I've ever attempted – running 5km every hour, on the hour, for 24 hours, covering a total of 120km.

I'm doing this in memory of Michael, who was more than just my cousin – he was like an older brother to me. Losing him has left a huge hole in our lives, and I wanted to honour his memory by taking on a challenge that will push me to my absolute limit.

I'll be raising money for Kidney Care UK, whose work supports people and families affected by kidney disease. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a real difference.

Every kilometre I run will be for Michael. Thank you to everyone who donates, shares my page, or supports me throughout this challenge. It truly means the world.
