Ever since our world was turned upside down by Holly’s diagnosis, rare dementia support has been a constant in our lives. Without the help, guidance, support, empathy and love from Nikki Zimmerman, I dread to think where we’d be as a family.

True to form, Alba — the absolute warrior she is — is taking on the Mini Great North Run to raise funds and awareness for rare dementias, the impact they have, and the battle families face to get the right care.

Alba and Chris (Holly’s mam) have bravely filmed a piece with Vikki Patterson to highlight this, airing on The One Show in September.
