Story
This July, I’ll be taking on a slightly ridiculous challenge — travelling across 5 countries in just 60 hours, using budget flights, overnight airport stopovers, and just one backpack, all to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The route will take me through:
🇵🇹 Portugal
🇳🇱 Netherlands
🇩🇰 Denmark
🇱🇻 Latvia
🇫🇮 Finland
…before racing back home to Norwich.
The challenge rules:
✔ Hand luggage only
✔ No hotels
✔ Sleep only in airports, trains, or wherever I can find a spot
✔ Complete every leg within 60 hours
✔ One mini challenge in every country
Why GOSH?
As part of Step Teachers’ annual charity partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital, I wanted to take on something that pushes me well outside my comfort zone.
Step Teachers has supported GOSH for several years through fundraising challenges and events, helping raise money for the incredible work they do for seriously ill children and their families.
This challenge will be exhausting, uncomfortable, and probably chaotic — but that’s exactly the point.
From airport floors and overnight layovers to tight connections and very little sleep, every mile will be for a cause far more important than the journey itself.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean a huge amount.
Every £5, £10 or £20 helps make a difference.
And if nothing else…
Sponsor the chaos.
