Story
I am running 65 miles (as part of a relay team in a 130 mile race) to raise money for a charity I volunteer with, SARAID. SARAID (Search and Rescue Assistance in Disasters) deploy internationally to assist in urban search and rescue efforts when requested by affected countries. They work under the instruction of local authorities to locate and extricate people trapped by disaster, for example following the Turkey earthquake.
To maintain a high standard of training and a readiness to deploy, SARAID need to continually raise funds to cover the costs of training, maintaining equipment and deployments.
This is an important cause to me and any amount no matter how small would be tremendously helpful.
The race is the "Ring O' Fire" ultramarathon around the coast of Anglesey, it will be the furthest I have ever ran, so a difficult challenge!
Gallery contain a mix of photos from training and deployment.
