Story
I’m taking on this challenge to raise money for Sailors’ Children’s Society, a charity that supports children and families from seafaring backgrounds who are facing incredibly difficult times.
I haven't cycled 100 miles in one day for 8 years and until I started training for this challenge, I hadn't ridden my road bike once in those 8 years. This rather daunting ride is 205 miles in successive days from the Darford Crossing to the Humber Bridge. I've been training for a few months and have managed 74 miles, so I have quite a bit more to do to get 'match fit' for this ride. I will give it my best shot which would be greatly helped if you could spare a few £'s to sponsor me....please.
This challenge is tough, but it’s nothing compared to what the children that SCS support go through on a daily basis.
