During the summer months, when temperatures soar into the triple digits, our most vulnerable neighbors need your help to survive the blistering summer heat. Your support provides water, food, and lifesaving care to our homeless and hungry neighbors.

Story

The Williams Field High Earth Conservation Club wants to help locally with the effects of extreme heat due to climate change. It is the most vulnerable who suffer the effects of extreme heat the most.

Here in Maricopa County, the summer sun can be dangerous, even deadly, for our vulnerable neighbors. That's why, when temperatures top 100 degrees, Phoenix Rescue Mission declares a Code:Red on the streets.

The numbers are staggering. In 2020, extreme heat killed more than 300 of our neighbors in Maricopa County - most of them homeless. The danger disproportionately targets our most vulnerable populations: seniors, those with disabilities, and homeless people.

As the winter sun beats down on our homeless neighbors, Phoenix Rescue Missions Hope Coach vans travel around Maricopa County, providing critical resources. Among their most appreciated gifts are our Hope Totes, which include refreshing water, snacks, hygiene items and a host of other basic needs.

$202 can provide a week's worth of Hope Totes to our neighbors in need
