Some 8 years after taking part in the first Bangers & Cash rally, the team - Rich, Rem and I are going back on the road to take part in Bangers & Cash 2026, all in aid of the wonderful people at Ashgate Hospice.

I know first hand the incredible work Ashgate Hospice do. My mum, Lynn, was cared for there in late 2022, and the love and support that not only Mum received, but our wider family too, was second to none. They helped make the most difficult of times that little bit more bearable, and it's something I'll always be grateful for.

This time we're hoping to complete the almost 1,000-mile journey in a classic 1980s Volvo saloon, with a cool 200,000 miles already on the clock! Along the way there'll be plenty of challenges thrown in too - loch swims, fancy dress, climbs and no doubt a few other surprises.

The route takes us from Chesterfield up to the Lakes, Honister Pass and Keswick, before heading north to Glasgow, Skyfall country, Glencoe and Aviemore, then back down through Falkirk, Edinburgh, Bamburgh and Whitby.

It's a big event involving a number of teams, all coming together to raise as much as we possibly can.

Ashgate Hospice needs all of our support so they can continue providing the wonderful care, support and facilities they give to people and their families when they need it most. They play such a huge role in our local community and beyond, and now more than ever they need our help to continue doing what they do.

Anything you can donate, no matter how big or small, would mean a huge amount to us and, most importantly, will help Ashgate Hospice continue their incredible work.
