Myself, Mol and Han are taking on the Great North Run for Derian House Children's Hospice in Chorley. They provide care and respite for children with life limiting or life shortening conditions.

This half marathon is a 13.1 mile journey through the city centre of Newcastle and surrounding areas.

We have chosen this charity because the amazing work they do is close to our hearts.

A family friend, Kenton Joe was cared for by the amazing team at Derian house who provided compassionate home care, support for family and his little sister Annie, who was invited to support groups, therapy and special events. They created hand and footprint canvases and helped make special memories with the family during the time they had left with Kenton. They fed and watered them throughout the worst times, making sure they had the strength they needed. And still continue to support them every step of the way.

And for that, Kentons family and everyone that knew him, will be eternally grateful for.
