Story

In memory of our beautiful mum Helen we are fundraising in aid of The National Brain Appeal's Rare Dementia Support Fund, who support research into the condition Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA).

Mum was diagnosed with this horrible condition two years ago however it had been around for at least 5 years before that. Firstly she was diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment but when we look back it was PPA. This condition took her ability to speak, read or write but it done much more horrible things to her and nothing short of terrorised her for the last years of her life.

Mum was only 70 when this disease finally took her and we as a family will be donating to this cause any time we can in the hope that they can get closer to finding what causes it and if not a cure, then what can be done to help people who have it as they navigate this horrible disease. We don’t want anyone to suffer like mum did.

We d appreciate even a small donation if you are able - it all adds up.

Thank you

Denise, Siobhan and Thomas x
